line the left up with the right ( notice the holes are larger on one side they point at each other

Avant, does he need to check the crankshaft as well?

Do you know where the marks are for the crank?

yes, but where are the markings for this on the 2.8? Do you have a bently handy?

My guess would be on the pulley and cover like mine was, just wanted confirmation.

rotate the cam twice and line it back up, put the belt on and rotate the crank a few times to make sure internals aren't touching.

when you say rotate the cam, can i just rotate that left pulley with my hands?? the crankshaft is good the marks on that are lined up.

it seems all you need do is rotate the left side but check every thing is lined up

ok so i got the cams lined up, put the belt on and then rotated the crankshaft a couple times. it rotated fine, but i noticed that i didnt have the same resistance all the way around, at some points it was a little bit easier to turn than others. is this normal or do i need to take the belt off and try again?
