Hello everyone, this is my first post on here but hopefully not my last.

I bought a 1996 Audi A4 Quattro, but when I have the keys in the ignition in position 2, without the car on, some warning lights are lighting. Let me clarify that when the car is actually on and running, there are no warning lights on.

First, there is a Check engine light. It is not flashing.
Second, the Engine Temperature Warning Light is flashing.
Third, the Fluid warning light is flashing too.
Last of all, the alternator warning light is on, but not flashing.

Should I be worried in regards to any of this?

Oh, and one last thing, I was not able to open my trunk. It is strange because I was able to earlier.

All help appreciated.

 

The lights are supposed to illuminate when you turn the key as a check to be sure the lights work. For the trunk, it locks with the doors. Hit the door unlock button and see if that unlocks it (it controls the fuel door too).
