Alright,

Thanks guys, 710n coming by mail. I will have that guy install it, or is it REALLY REALLY easy to do? (mechanics=0)

And is there any other "stealthy" imrpovements i could do that would not be visible on inspection? (yeah i know, if they drive it...)

DIY, easier than an oil change IMO jack the passanger side up, remove the uder carrage, and look up and you will see it and 3 hoses going to it. Dissconnect all three and put in place the new one. No longer than 45 mins for first timers.

Damn you guys scared me now,

Everytime i push the gas (just went driving again) I fear my stock DV is gonna blow, should i take it easy on it untill i get the 710n? I'ts coming by mail in about 2-3 days, but this is just torture now. Is it really at high risk for blowing the old DV? I can't believe the guy at the tuning shop told me it didnt really matter that much.

PS i'm gonna have to learn more about this Air filter thing, how much HP on average does that increase?

The noise is still there, seems to be coming from the passenger side front, low rumbling everytime i hit the gas in 4th and 5th at 2700-3000rpm. Could it have to do with the DV? thats where it is located right?

dont be worried about the dv, the worst it can do is have the spring fail having boost leak from the IC pipe back to the intake. Yeah this wears the turbo out more but your getting a new valve soon so dont worry about that.

the air filter dosent make any real hp gains but it does increase throttle response. I have it done on top of a 710n and the car may not be much faster, but the reponse and butt dyno feel better.

You guys worried me with all that voiding the warranty talk, so i went back to the APR dealer and reburnt the codes as to have both the 93Oct and Stock modes, hehe now i will just switch the car back to stock when turning it in for maintenance, no way they can find out even if they drive it.

710n coming by mail.

Sounds like you got it figured out man, the 710n is a good dv and will keep you from toasting the dv..... as for the programing I think thats a good idea to have the stock file, if my car was under warrenty then I would deff have had the stock file put on
