Help a noob
Hey im new to audi's and all cars pretty much. Ive been reading and I understand that between a a4 and an s4, the a4 is a better choice to upgrade and saves money. Also ive read that the 2.0t is a better choice compared to the 3.0 for the same reason. Im thinking about getting a ~2005 2.0t and was wondering if anyone could offer any tips or advice??
thanks

The A4 is a better choice to upgrade, but when it is upgraded to a S4's status I wouldn't say you save "that" much money.... Plus your reliability kinda goes down the toliet, but S4 turbos aren't known to last forever so there reliability isn't top notch.
As far as 2.0T and 3.0 go there pretty much different cars, if you plan on doing engine mods and want a "less" reliable car then that would be the 2.0T. If you want a more reliable car that doesn't offer many engine mods that would be the 3.0, the 3.0 is faster stock vs stock but with a chip the 2.0T becomes the quicker of the two. It kind of depends on what budget you have, how much you want to spend in possible repairs in the future and just really what suites you the best.
If you do go with the 2.0T 2005 look for a car thats near 20k miles I'd say... mine is an 03 and I got it at 38k miles. Look for something thats been serviced correctly, only has had synthetic oil used on it and is just an all around clean car. Look at the carfax and check it out, if anything looks suspecious just walk away. Its not worth your time or trouble to deal with a car that has a shady past. Nothing out of the norm, if you treat your car right it will do the same back. Thats my only advice
Good luck finding your car =D
