I am about to purchase a 2002 A4 and I really want to paint the lowers. I have been researching the process and I'm confused on a few things. (yes, i've searched the forums)

First, the front and rear are a plastic material, while the side skirts are a rubber material, correct? Or is it all the same material?

Second, I've seen 04's and 05's that come stock with painted lowers. Are these lowers made of different material or are they just painted really well?

I know this topic has been discussed a ton, but I couldn't find these specific answers. I am just really worried about the paint cracking and peeling.

thanks.

I'm thinking a body shop. and yeah, i guess i meant the usp package. those look fine, so i didn't know if it was the same material as the unpainted ones or not.

Ifigured it could be done if it's done the right way. I know the painter pretty well, so I think he'll do it. I'll just make sure the prep work is done right and a flex agent is used. Thanks for the input lazer.

do it yourself for $50 and a few hours. I did mine and its easy. more time spent masking than anything.
