Default HeLp! Smoky NigHt!!

Hi Everyone! I Have A 99.5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with about 120k mile on it. Around 8pm today, I received a phone call from one of my buddys needing a ride home from another friends house. So,I decided to take him andI went to my garage and began to back up my car...after a few feet away...I saw a big puddle of water on the garage floor and thought nothing of it because my coolant had been leaking a small amount of fluid for a few weeks now(never had the time to check), so i filled it with coolant and drove about 1 mile thenthe red coolant light started blinking and next thing you know....my car is smoking everywhere at a red light. I pulled off the road and heard a spraying sound...like coolant spraying from a hose from the hot temp...I couldn't figure out where is was coming from....only that it was in the rear of the engine bay....Can some one give me advice on what to check and maybe a diagram of the coolant system. Please help THANKS!

Are you sure it wasn't your coolant boiling or was it definitely a spraying?

there are a couple of posts here with the diagrams posted just look for one under my name and look down about post 11, some one posted a diagrams for the hoses behind the engine you should be to see the hoses behind theengine, jackup yur car, since you have a garage i assume you can do that and look under neath the under cover. Fill it up and see if you can see any leaks and them you should be able to get a good view of what is wrong.

coolant leak is under pressure so only happens when engine is hot ( you have a split coolant pipe top end ) get it fixed asap

ok I found out where the leaking was coming from...im not sure what the name of it is? but i can describe it....its a hoseattach and beneath the water temp sensor...the hose curves down and goes into the box that the battery is in, then connect to something that goes into the dash....whats the hose called? How can I take it off? and How much?
