Help, turbos overboosting
I bought a 2001 a4 in July, it ran for a month then the timing belt skipped some teeth and it was dead. It turned out the previous owner uped the timing and welded the tensioner for the timing belt in place, they also rewired the car so their aftermarket turbo would take it to the max. Now after replacing the head, a couple cylinders, having the car wired correctly, and replacing the cat, the aftermarket turbo keeps overboosting and cutting out. What can i do to make the turbo and engine work together again?
heh...dejavoo...(if thats how you spell it??) I had the same problem when I bought my car. The only reason I got it was because I got it for so cheap. I ended up posting some pics of the turbo....guys on here helped me to decide what it was...then I contacted atp to find out what I could do.....turned out nicely....
well first I would find out what turbo is in it and what software it has a MBC will help you out but in the long run you are going to run into more problems if it is not tuned right
