Car will not start. Won't even roll start. The ignition is like stuck and feels like it's loose. Keyless entry won't work but stereo and windows will. It's really wierd. Maybe I blew a fuse? Please help. Thanks

 

ok so when u open the driver's door with the key. will the other doors open when u press the button on the door? ya check ur fuses. also check ur ignition switch. that's the part that the key goes in

 

How do i check my ignition switch? car will look all doors if i use the key but not with the keyless entry.

 

What do you mean the key feels loose? Does it not come out, or go farther than its supposed to when you turn it?

 

When i put it in it automatiically slides forward and then there's no pressure. I can move it back and forward with ease.

 

If i keep turning it the way I would when i start it it will just hit a sticky point but the car wont do anything. lights turn on everything works except keyless entry. By the way the cop that jump started me had a handheld battery and my car ran for awhile but my blinkers werent working so I was going 40 mph after running the car for 15 minutes and turned the car off and it wouldn't come back on so I had to keep in neutral and pull over to the side.

 

You need an ignition switch, take it to the dealer.

 

shouldnt keyless entry work? how much will the ignition switch cost?

 

Is your car a pre 97? There was a recall out for the ignition switch cracking.
The ignition switches are generally 150 bucks from what i remember.

 

No its a 97. but it's not like there isa lot of slack. It just wont do anything when I turn it. and it seems to be push the key forward right when I put it in.
