There IS a recall on ignition switch for 1997.
Take it to the dealer, it should be free. I was notified via mail this year that there is a recall on this for my 97, said replacment would be free.

The dealership closest to me is 4 hours away and I wasn't going to get it towed there. I'll take my reciept to get rembersed when I'm in the area. Anything w/the clips crazydavy? Thanks
