Yeah error means fukced the hell up! Un-hook the power to the unit from the back of the radio and cd changer (if seperate) then plug it back in after about 10 minutes, that should re-set the player.

No that just means you have a big *** vaccum leak and a small coolant leak LOL.
Check the bottom of your expansion tank for dried up coolant.

Either a big vacuum leak, or the throttle body is dirty. If you check all the hoses and there are no leaks, and the connections are all tight, get some throttle body cleaner and an old toothbrush. Gently clean the throttle body, then do a throttle body adjustment. See if that helps.

Common leak sources are a crack at the bottom of the plastic expansion tank or the connectors at the oil cooler. See if there is dried pink crud at either of these places.

What kind of car is it? Can you smell coolant at all when the heat is on? If so you might have a leak at the coolant flange on the back of the engine (if you have a 1.8T) not sure where it's at on a 2.8.

Not really sure. I think it would be because you are using power to turn the wheel (power to drive the pump) so it might need to bring the RPMs up so it doesn't die. It's sort of the same thing as turning your AC on when your car is idling. The RPMs will jump around for a bit then settle back out.

And I see now that you have a 1.8T. Look in the back of your engine block (between the engine and the firewall) and see if you can see any coolant (pink stuff) crusted over down there. I had a bad leak there.

Clean your throttle body, it may help with the wierd idle fluctuation under braking.
It fixed it for mine anyway, mine was happening whenI would push the clucth in, it would drop lower than normal and then come back up.

I wonder if the coolant temp sensor could be bad? When mine went out I had a bunch of weird idle problems along with the car not starting easily.
