I have a 96 non-tip... any possible way of converting it? more than just changing the lever right?

i'm sorry, i wrote the post kinda quickly. its an auto, non-tip.. i was wondering if it was at all possible (cheap and easy) to make it work with a tip shifter assembly.

Lol glad you cleared that up! I was like "why the hell does he want to convert a 5spd to a auto??!!" As for you answer though, I have no frickin clue! But it doesn't sound like it would be an easy/cheap task.

I would guess and say that you would need a new transmission??

Then all the computer programming that goes along with being able shift in tip-mode.

I doubt it will be cheaper than just buying a car with tip and selling that one.

I found his write up, but he wrote that you can't do it on a 2.8, just the 1.8.. I emailed him and asked what the differences were... But it definitely seems easy enough.
