This just happened to my Audi you have to get a new light switch and cruse control switch.
Its a $137 part, to get my installed it cost $200 with part cost in that. You can buy one hear www.audipartstore.com hope this helps

RE: high beam trouble.
Before you spend 200 dollars to fix it, try some TV tuner cleaner or contact cleaner, Could just be dirty contacts.
Spray it in there and see if it is just dirt and gunk that is preventing the switch from working.
If that doesn't work, you might want to try to remove it and take it apart and see if you can fix it. Disclaimer, I haven't done it on my Audi although I did do this on a Triumph and a Volvo. The worst thing that can happen is that it remains broken.
If you are screwing around in the steering column, make sure that you disconnect the battery, and that you have the radio code before disconnecting the power. Nothing like having an airbag go off at point bland range.
