High mpg?

Are you serious? You should get your car checked, man! Most of us here get 300+ per tank.

I get 360-375 miles per fill ... 15-16 gallons. If only on highway, I get slightly above 400 miles.

PS: And I should add, I'm not a gentle driver by any means ... [8D]

I just bought a 04 A4 1.8t quattro a few weeks ago, does anyone know exactly how many gallons the tank holds? I seem to be getting about 25 mpg which I thought seemed low. Just put an intake on last night, hoping that will help...

Think its 19 for FWD and 17 for quattro Karenjk12. I end up getting 22mpg but heavy foot highest I've ever seen that gauage read was 98mpg for average nice long down hill and only used the gas once then yup back down to 26.9 highway.

Your vehicle is FWD and much lighter. Less powerloss through the drive train,less weight to propel.

how many gallons? I am dead empty running on fumes and can't put more than 15 in my 04 1.8TQ and my 04 passat 1.8t

im using my diesel Citroen 1.9 td at the moment and get 60 mpg and the tdi does 45 mpg so im looking to buy the new Citroen but that UK banter

OMG....LOL

Mine is a 2002 2nd hand B6 Automatic Quattro.
I've been driving it for 8 months and the best I can ever go with a full tank of gas is just 250 miles [:'(]

Which part of the machine should I check?? thzzzzz a lot!!!!!!

First check the nut connecting the gas pedal to the seat. If the nut seems to be pressing too tightly loosen and adjust,after that.
Plugs
Wires
Air filter
Oxygen sensor
