There still may be codes stored in there. Have them pulled at autozone and post them back here.

ORIGINAL: khj677turbo

Well, the car back fires at open throttle and sometimes when i dont give it enough gas off the line, it just chokes and backfires. The car is completely unsmooth throught the rpm range when accelerating normally. Its like its bogging down, especially after about 3100 rpm or so it chokes and its constant. I havent checked for codes, but im lazy, and i need to drop the exhaust becasue there are vibration issues that i cant seem to fix from the hangers etc. My buddy before me ran a bov for a little on the car, as dumb as that is.
Sounds like you are running relay rich. Check the CTS, vacuum leak on the FPS, or a boost leak.

Read the dam codes.

I'm 110% sure you have an issue with misfires, either bad coils or plugs I just had the same problem and same symptoms with no codes either

Ok, finally got an answer at discount. It was free for them to check, but it took three different people to finally be able to read the code. It read, Knock sensor bank 2 code po332 . It was a hand held device and i dunno if this is causing the unsmooth rpms.

Clear the code and see if it comes back.
I recommend inexpensive things first.
