Hey guys my 99 A4's horn wont work im thinking it might be a fuse. And to be quite honest with all of you i do not know ANYTHING about cars. Any help out there? Where is my fuse box located i kept trying to find it but couldnt, could anyone help me locate the location of the horns fuse, im gonna try changing it maybe see if it works. Im selling the car and need to get it fixed asap. Thanks guys!

 

Fuse box should be under the little cover next to the drivers legs. There is a little hole in the bottom of it you can put a flat screwdriver into and gently pry it open. On the back of that cover there is a listing of all the fuses and their location.

 

What could it be? Anyone have this problem? Is the horn a hard part to replace? I seen a couple used horns on ebay for $30

 

It's probably a fuse, so check that out first. Your fuse box is located on the driver's side of the dashboard, on thepart that's covered up when the door is closed; just pop the cover off to access it. Check your owner's manual to figure out which fuse is the horn.

 

does ur car honk when u lock it?

 

Yeah it goes off when i lock the car but it sounds like its the rear speakers making the horn sound not the horn itself. Airbag light is also on anyone know what could have triggered this?

 

for the air bag light, u need to vag com to check wuts up. for the horn there's no way the rear speakers are making the sound. there's an actual horn in the rear jsut like the one in the front. not too sure where it is though. but i think it should be sumthing with the steering wheel. again vag com would pick it up.

 

well when you lock the car, the beep/alarm beeping you hear is not related to the actual horn in the front of the car. I would replace a fuse?

 

Can anyone help me out with a schematics chart for my 1999 audi 2.8 quattro A4? I cant find my service manual. Thanks guys!
