What are some of the symtoms when DV is going? I'm mainly interested because I had APR stg1 done sometime agao and I'm wondering if I should upgrade my current DV (OEM, not 710N) now...

loss of boost. Bird noises (no seriously), chirping. If in doubt, just change it. You can get a 710N cheap.

 

Boost loss is the big one, or if you car surges slighty, and boost flucuates.(sp)

I wasn't sure if mine came with 710N or not since it was built on 2002 (just at the cut line of when audi upgraged the DV, i think)...

Fomr sound, the current DV is still going strong. But I'll probably upgrade it when I fix my stripped drain plug (doh)... I've been putting it off and it finally started oil leak so I would need to fix that first... [sm=headbang.gif]

Ya, chip and DV go hand in hand. You'll notice better throttle response with a 710N or better DV.

i don't have a chip, and my car seems slow as hell... its a 2002 also and does not have much throttle response. Would a 710N help with that?
