What is a comfort conrtol module?

 

In the 03 a4 it is located underneath the drivers seat it controls alot of accesories of the car. i am not sure how to explain it. I guess it is very important to the car because when mine got wet nothing in the car worked, the windows sunroof, trunk release, factory alarm, air conditionar all gone. I cleaned it, and let it dry and some things work fine but this happenned 2 months ago and the car not starting began 2 weeks ago little by little. At first the car would crank crank crank than start. Than 1 week later the remote start would not work and the car would crank crank crank crank crank crank than start lol now no crank no start lol

 

Thanks to everyone who gave me some kind of advice as to what was wrong with my car, Also to telling me why water was getting inside the car. i got evrything fixed got a price quote from the dealer for $1325, brought it to the installer who did my alarm and got me up and running for $500. You guys were right the reason why water was getting in my car was because all the holes underneath the battery and surrounding areas were clogged up... please i advise everyone to check there's so they do not get the same problems i encountered
