how hard is it suppose to be to crank your engine by hand from the bottom sprocket?

Its not that hard with a long breaker bar, i mean you cant grab the crank pully with your hands and turn it but its not that difficult

Yeah when I did my timing belt it was very easy with a ratchet.

Taking out the spark plugs makes it much easier to trun the engine. No compression that way.

Even Spark plugs in, I would say maybe the same effort as trying to remove your lugnuts with a 12 inch breaker bar. Mostof the effort is to get it to start moving. Once it starts it will keep going really easily.
