and the pistons are forged but the rods are not. all you have to do is drop in some rods, clean up the pistons and you'll be good to go for up to ~500bhp and probably a 8k redline

Closer to 350. Jeff dyno'd 337 awhp. Most people that get numbers that high usually end up with a rod or 2 through the block.

basically I was asking at one point would "one" change the manifold------- big turbo setup?

~30psi on what turbo? psi rating it not a generic figure. a ko3 and a GT35r flowing at ~30psi will have very different results

actually it's not. i know many people running that power right now on stock internals and it is fine. Arif would be one of them. the 71r elim will max out at ~400bhp. however, if you rev that power at high rpms for a very long extended time you might melt a piston or perhaps snap a rod..

well you can only keep the stock manifold if you have either a ko3, ko4, or one of the 3 eliminator setups.. due to the flow restriction of the stock manifold it is recomended to change it out to the almost identical ATP product even if you're going ko4. but especially if you go with an eliminator turbo.. other than that if you change out the turbo to anything else, I.E. t28, full GT28rs, GT30r, etc.. you have to upgrade it.. ATP makes a decent one(most popular one)that is affordable but puts the turbo in a horrible position. there is a cast unit out but i can't think of the name of the company at this point. then there is a Full-Race manifold. pricey but oh so worth it!!

That manifold is a major pita to bolt on btw.
