RE: how much money wold installation for the k04 be
Probably a 4 hour job for a DIY and a 2-3 hour for a pro. The going rate for labor on average is $75/hour (if not dealer) so id say about $200-$250 for just the turbo and gaskets and all. But its not a difficult DIY and you dont even need crazy tools so why not save some cash and diy??? I'll be doing the k04 hopefully next week! Not that there arent enough DIY articles for the K04, but ill probably do one for the hell of it since i dont think audiforums has their own article by one of their own members.

realize you may break something when you change turbos.
Pros that installed my exhaust system broke a bolt on the
cat when i had my exhaust installed. Just realize that age
and mileage will affect how somethings will fit etc.
oil it alot maybe?

OH ya a can of pb blaster helps a lot and keeps things from stripping or breaking. If you take the oil return line off from the oil pan first, it helps a lot. Ive been through a BT installation with Arif and i remember most of the pita's.
