i blew it this time. wat do i do now
ok, i was planning to upgarde the front suspension on my b6, i got round to undoing the bolt that clamps the two ball jonins that are at the top of the strut which are connected by an arm to the upper mount of the suspension. i accidently snapped the head of the bolt, will i be able to knock it out, if i cant wat do i do.
i overexagurated so i can get some replies , the bolt is stuck in the clamp andthe ball joints wontrelease until the bolt is loosened, i thought about drilling through it
This happened to me on my 1997 A4. I tried everything: tapping it out, heating it, PB blaster, drench in liquid wrench and sea foam let it sit for a day and a half, it still was stuck in their. My last resort was to drill it out my advice start with a small drill bit and work your way up. Be careful because you do not want to drill the part of the controll arm.
Try everything else before you drill it out use as your last resort
Good luck

Try to knock it out with a hammer first then drill. what I did was I turned the wheel to the side so I had more room. I startes with a small drill bit and worked my way up till I could take out the bolt. If you are going to drill cover everything up first you do not want metal shavings on you brakes or ABS sensors.
Good Luck
