I have a 97 a4 with the 2.8 12 valve. My cruise control doesn't switch on untill I've been driving on the highway for a while. Can someone help me out who has had a similar problem?

Have a similar prob, havent really looked into it cus I'm not on the freeway much to need it, But it does suck doesn't it. I'm not sure but I think our cruse controle is vacume, and if so, a vacume leak is the most likly prob.
