I dont know about Cali, but in NJ your not required to use your signal in designated turning ONLY lanes... As for me, being 19, looking like im 16 .. The cops love me! Lets just say I get police escorts every night back to my house as soon as I enter westfield.. Not to mention getting pulled over for a license plate frame that just covered a couple centimeters of the 'New Jersey' on my license plate.. It was the frame that came with the car from DCH that says DCH .. LOL, gotta love it.

yea i got pulled over doin 80 in a 65 on sunday goin down I-195 in NJ the dam b!tch( yes woman cop) followed me from the sec i got on the highway cause she even told me she did and said my top speed was 80 not that i was doin a constant speed so she pulled me over when i got over the exit to get onto route 539 for the LBI.. and gave me all this **** and gave me a ticket and yea another young driver wit an audi gettin a ticket and 2 points on my license

Thats a weird law, most people dont know which lanes are turning lanes. When you are adjacent from other drivers you cant see their signs or lane markings most of the time. Thats the purpose of a signal, it reinforces any doubts you may have about where the other driver is going.
And for the person who posted this thread what you need to do is get a certified inspection notice from a state certified inspector that your tint is legal, bring that to court and you're set i promise.

I agree ^^^^^ateurv8, notahonda, thanks for your insight on this thread and the forum in general.
If you think of cops as regular people just like the rest of us, its easier to put yourself in their shoes, and see that cops are really looking out for everyone.
One of my sons friends father is a deputy, and he's a great guy, and just like me raising a family. he's just another guy like me, and has a much more dangerous and important job than I. I hold the utmost respect for him.
That said, just like the general population, there's always a few who abuse their situation or position.
Since the tint you had is legal, prove it and you should get off. as for the signal, you did it so you cant say much about that.
Anyway, I wish you luck in court, I hope it works out well, especially for the tint deal.

Yeah I got pulled over for the tint on my car once (California)... Both front windows were rolled down. I'm pretty sure the back ones can be more tinted than the front, but either way its right at the legal limit.
He pulled me over, gave me a ticket, I went to court and he actually showed up. Made him look like a dick when the court ruled in my favor =D
