I'am fixing my brothers 2003 Audi A4. It has a check engine light, so I scaned it. It pulled two codes and here is what it read. First code was P0507 idle air control system rpm higher than expected. The second was P0706 Transmission range sensor circuit range/ performance???

 

Ive got the same P0507 code today after reving the car. What i found is "rpm higher than expected"
is that something i should be worried about ???

I wa reving a car for about 30 seconds showing the mufflers

 

i believe the 03 has a electronic throttle control. which means the idle air control is on the throttle body. try cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and see wut happens. and do a search. i think there was sum1 who had the same problem and had to change their throttle body
