Help! 2003 Audi A4 1.8T So many problems.
Hello everyone, I'm here to share the numerous problems I've experienced recently with my 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro.
Current problems Please help!!!
1. Fuel Injector stuck open, misfire, blowing smoke. fuel injector swapped, not fuel injector. New wire from injector 3 and ECU fixed problem.
2. Radiator Fan turns on when car is off, started right after wiring for the injector was done. Drains Battery, so i unplugged the fans. won't need those in cold canadian winter anyway but still a problem. needs to be resolved still, Will change relay 219, possible water damage under ECU. Any suggestions?
3. Gas gauge reads empty, definitely has gas. Started 2 hours after my fan issue. Could it being wiring again? What could cause this false reading of gas levels? i've had 3 wiring problems to date, if that's the case. Maybe time to change the harness completely i think. Help! How do i diagnose this issue?
4. Abs module giving ABS and Traction control light, again! tested to verify that it's not Abs sensor, and is in fact abs module. Shipping out for repair.
Previous resolved issues
1. Fuse blowing, ended up being a problem with the wiring harness melting due to engine heat and misplacement of harness. Harness was rewired.
2. Brakes, only standard easy to diagnose problem i've had.
3. Abs module failure, not once twice. Speedometer not working, abs light, traction control light both on. Found a good shop in California to repair my Module. Fairly cheap labour but still expensive with shipping from Canada to California and then back.
4. Thermostat housing changed, head gasket water pump timing belt as well.
I'm sure there is more issues that I cant think of right now. If you need any opinions I've seen a lot of problems in the past year and a half on my a4 b6, and diagnosing has been far from easy in most of the issues. Thanks everyone!!! Sorry if this post was a little long, i'm still new to this.

I got an overheating problem on a 2005 A4 1.8T that I can't resolve. Car overheats gradually passed normal mark once I accelerate. If I come to a stop or stop accelerating the temperature starts to return to normal. It doesn't normal up, but it definetely cools down. We've changed out the thermostat because the old one didn't open up all the way. We've verified that the water pump is in good condition. We disconnected the small hose going to the resevoir and have good flow. We found the timing belt was on very loose and changed out the tensioner. (Glad we caught that). There are no codes being given. What do you think?
