I have a 2003 A4 that I bought used. It came with one FOB. I ordered another off of ebay. My dealer wants to charge $100 to "reprogram" key. Now I know that I can reprogram remote myself, but the main question is about the immobilizer. I have seen some posts say that 2003 A4 doesn't have immobilizer and some posts say we do....So do I need to drop the C note and have the dealer code the immobilizer? I have seen tons of FAQ and techs about remote, but nothing about immobilizers...Thanks in advance!!!

 

I too would like to know everyone else's opinion about the stupid FOB's as well, I've been getting the run around about reprogramming it. Apparently, the VW dealer I bought my A4 from couldn't reprogram the remote for me, they said it had to be done at an Audi dealer. [sm=bs.gif]
