But I ran out of gas on the freeway.. It made a gnarly noise and started stumbling so I immediately pulled over. I got a couple gallons in there and it started up perfect. And is running perfect. I just hope it didn't mess anything up major. I'm scared cuz I just bought this car. Any potential problems that may arise from this??

 

nah, you should be alrite, i recommend changing the gas filter in the near future.

 

Your car is fine; running out of gas really isn’t that big of a problem. The only way it could be bad is for people who drive diesels cuz there usually a pain to get restarted.

 

Is this a new car? In some cases your fuel pump can draw in or suck in debris from the bottom of the tank j/k..But seriously, it always a good practice to maintain a half tank, thats if you can afford it. I think your car will be fine.
