3.0's aren't bad off the line, turbo lag was the reason i didn't buy the 1.8 when i bought mine a couple of years ago, don't feel like modding it, i think the 3.0 will take you as long as your friend knows how to drive.

 

its not a bov but the dv that you changed to the 710n...but ya i think the race will be really closes but u should win just barely. hes got 220 horses and 221 ft.lbs of tq. with the chip you should have 209 hp and 226 ft lbs of torque. so the race would be close but u are also 316 lbs lighter than him
