What Bosch chip?? The ICM??? Did you double check to make sure EVERYTHING was plugged back in??? Are there any vacuum lines or any hoses that are disconnected? If you have it back to stock you should just keep it that way because intakes dont really do anything for your car unless its heavily modified.

I think most of these guys meant 'no difference' as in performance gains...
While you'll still experience better response and more aggressive sounds, if you think you're going much faster, it's in your head...
In my opinion, yea, they do something... whether if it's worth your money or not, I guess it's up to you. Relatively speaking, though, an intake on our audis don't do as much as our hard earned money wants it to... I personally don't think it's worth spending money on, but a custom intake job, if it makes a difference, is definitely worth it.

It all comes down to what you're willing to spend your money on... If an intake is worth $380 to you, that's fine, I'm not going to down you, because if I had the extra money, I'd buy one too, haha.
But this guy got it for free, so I'd probably put it on too. I'd say just double check your installation man, check some diagrams of how it's supposed to look, maybe you routed a vaccum line to the wrong location.
