need yalls experts opinion
got a 96 a4 2.8 quattro... not sure what the 12v or 30v is.. so cant tell you which.. got like 107k miles.. i want to do some preventative maitnance to make the car work a litle better.. so far, all my repairs have been crazy $., so im hoping to spend little $ and maintain things before they go kaput.
i havent done the 100k tune up, but im assumining it is something i can do myself? like spark plugs?
i need to know what is a good brand for my car.. not trying to soup it up.. its an old car.. jsut want it to last me a while..
what else should i do, that is fairly easy, and can make my car run a lil better and longer?
thanks guys,
all opinions welcome..

after about 80k all experts would tell you that you have to be prepared to invest mucho money into the car it sucks. tune ups are pretty easy the easiest way would be to get a good inspection than you can see what it really needs
yeah 96 are 12V.
The recomendations i got form this site was:
1. Timing belt/water pump = $$$$$ <--- if your going to do this then also you should change the V-belt at the same time, i heard its good to change it when you change the timing belt and water pump. It saves you cash cause you wouldnt have to do it later on and pay more labour.
2. Air Filter = $ <---you can do this yourself its pretty easy, I did it and I am not mechanically inclined
3. Cabin Air Filter = $ <---you can do this yourself too
4. Spark Plugs = $ (i also asked which ones are the best ones, guessing BOSCH) <---you can do this yourself too I heard
5. O2 Sensors = $$ <--dont know about this
6. Oil changes with Synthetic Oil. Alot of the members here recommend Mobil 1 <---you can do this yourself too.
