I Want An S4
Unless you have the money to drive it every day...An S4 should be a weekend car. They're not really meant to an every day driver. You can get away with it...but you better have the money to fix it once you buy it. Bigger engine = more can go wrong.

I really think you should NOT purchase and S4 of any year un-less youearn $80,000 a year or more and be over the age of 25.

Yeah...........insurance is another reason im getting rid of the S4, im 23 with a perfect driving record and im paying $250 a month with a $2,000 deductible, plus the price of keeping the thing running.

I'm really not sure where you're going to find a late 90's S4, they made them with the B5 chassis in 2000-2002. earlier S4's used the B4 chassis.
maintenance is a b*tch on these things, ask auditech79. if you're at all in doubt as to whether or not you think you can afford the upkeep on a car like that, then stay away. there's twice as much sh*t to go wrong on the 2.7T as there is on the 1.8T.
