I've never driven one, but the A6 is pretty heavy. I would suggest you go for a 944 (turbo or N/A) for a track car. But if you want a daily driver that sees a track a few times a year, then get a B5 A4 1.8T Quattro Manual (sport package if possible).

i know this goes back to the first page, but jeff had an "ebay special" manifold that crack, not a stock audi one...right?

 

drag racing is awesome, i like the vid of the s4 running in the elevens smoking the z06 next to it. this was at englishtown raceway park, oldbridge township, new jersey. the vid is in sightsnsounds.

 

if you have the $$ and want to live out my fantasy...assuming ur a6 is a 6spd 2.7 BT then here goes....swap out the turbos to garrett GT28R's...and then do all other modifications needed to support this setup....upgraded injectors air DV's manifold...the works...intake...standalone ecu..and such and such...big big big brakes gut the interior suspension p-sport cups on some really really light BBS wheels and go from there....but hey thats me...i know im missing a bunch of things..like a clutch...but yea..something along the lines of that should put a smile on your face at the tack....or i guess you could always trade your a6 for an rs6 and be 2 steps ahead of the game....keep the quattro...thats why Pobst and Galati always win....At the start of the races they jump to the outside and pass everyone on the grass....its a beautiful thing to watch...

Better have about $15,000-$20,000 sitting if you're going for that... And just think, for that price, you could build a TRACK ONLY B5, or an older model Porsche. Just consider that before you go and throw all of this money into a luxery sedan.

 

it wasnt even a special but i know i made the wrong decisions cus it was off ebay, but i have a good mani now so its all ok
