here it goes ...
do what i did
buy a write off ( copart.com ) just like i did and then work your way up.
i gotten my 01 S4 for $3500 and will cost me about $500 to pull the frame.
so the car retails between 16ooo-25ooo $Can here in Ontario.
so really i saved me the headache and still have 16ooo in the bank to play with.
So I already called AWE and getting the shopping list out and trying to get everything at once so i can get discount for a large purchse and save some $$$ on shipping.
So far from AWE: SMIC, Turbo Manifolds, Downpipes, Twin 1 Exahust, Snub Mount, RS4 Hydraulic Motor Mounts, DTS, Stage 3+ Clutch kit with lightweight flywheel.
a 3.0L is in the work as of next week with ALL FORGED internals and now trying to hunt down a set of RS4 heads from europe ( Uncle lives outside Munich ) along with some other goodies

Also will go with 034 Motorsports Stage IIC EMS unit with dual Wideband inputs

The frame will never be true... If you're planning on RACING the car, it may not be the best idea to build it from a totalled car.

 

very true, do u really want a car for safety when u crash into the wall if its already been crashed and totalled.

 

i'm in luck though
the guys that helped me buy it have a A4 that was hit really really hard in the back ( bought it for parts )
and were going to graft new a horn onto my S4.
