Default Ignition and Key problem

Since we bought our 98 A4 back in Feb. we have had trouble with the key not feeling like it is the right key for the ignition. When you put either key we have in it will not turn it feels just like we have the wrong key in. But if you wiggle it around a little it finally will turn but this week it has gotten worse. The previous owner told us about the problem and said they had the ignition replaced but it still did the same thing. Is this a common problem or do we maybe have bad cut keys.

SO I'm gonna assume this is not normal because I have had no responses.

Not common, but ignition switches to break or wear out.

If the keys are new and still have sharper edges try running them thru the wire wheel. Sometimes brand new keys stick if they arent "cleaned up" before use.

I have tried that and it still wont move sometimes. I was just hoping someone knew of a common problem so I didn't have to take it to the stealership. Oh well thanks anyway.
