the 3.2l VR6 OWNS any audi or VW motor over produced. period
but at the same time Quattro owns every FWD and RWD system ever produced. period!
it's your decision on what you want out of the car. the Passat is no slouch when it comes to a classy interior. if you can live with FWD(either not going to mod/race it, or don't ever drive in snow) then the passat is for you..
if anything else, get the Audi
