INMotion B5 A4 chip, reputable???

thanks for the lesson, but you answered it yourself: programs damage the MAF the same way bov's do . . . to say that the maf is due to die eventually anyways is a lame excuse. Have you personallyrun upsolute and not had any maf problems?
make sure to post your dyno plot . . . once you upgrade your rods and pistons.

So once again how does the tune affect the MAF sensor............................................ .......Oh yeah by applying more resistance to the element with the increased amount of incoming air. So how does the element burn up from a tune? It doesn't. It would require large hp increases something like 3 or moretimes the of hp than the element was designed for. A weak element with increased resistance will burn up but only because it was about to **** itself anyway.
If you take a 100,000 like most b5 owners now have and increase hp parts will fail. MAF sensors on VW's and Audi's are know for failing and usually on an unmolested car it will happen when you shut off the car and the ECU go into burn off mode cleaning the MAF sensor, otherwise oil and debree cause it to fail.
The only reason MAF sensors go bad with a chip is because the increased air rate causes more resistance on the element already not working properly.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Just because some people believe their MAF was burned up from a bad tune doesn't make it true. To have one burn up from bad tuning the tuner would have toforce the ECU to send more amps to the element which would cause the car to run rich at all times unless the fuel map was adjusted to make up for the fact the air isn't there (why would you do that to get the same result you had before)..........so once again how does a tune burn up a MAF sensor?
Furthermore a BOV is not bad for an Audi, not recirculating the air is. The air from the diverter valve is put back into the intake after the MAF sensor so the fuel maps are already set for the extra boost of air, by removing it the ECU makes the car run rich because it believe air is there that isn't. By running a recirculatory setup with a BOV does the exact same thing as a diverter valve.
If you want to prove me wrong do it, but prove it. It is obvious you don't (and everyone who thinks their MAF went out because of bad tuning) don't know **** about how a MAF sensor works. Bad tuning burns up pistons, exhaust valves, cats and so on but not MAF sensors.
TractionControl, I just learned something I didn't know. LOL THanks!!! I had no idea thats how one of those worked. Just out of curiousity, how did you learn that? Did you go to school to learn it? Just wondering. Hope that shuts that one guy up. LOL.

i can't take it anymore .. .
- upsolute programming is notorious for frying MAFs - fact not opinion. if this software is related to upsolute i would avoid.
-go to the closest tuner (if in a metro area, the closest one you trust.) and buy what they support!

You are a disgrace to the forums. Please do not try to act like an expert on something which you obviously have no idea what it is, or how it works. Its because of people like you why there is so much bad info floating around and misguided people. Its sad when people that come here for expert oppinions get fed BS like that^. Please consider this site's reputation and credibility when lending advice and oppinions. Also consider if your reply has any truth or relevance before posting it.

Just accept it and never post useless drivel like that again.

so . . . has anyone run upsolute without going through multiple mafs?
from how i read all this, it isnt the ebayguy's original programming, he is just installing someone else's. I would rather have a local place that sells a name brand do the install, thats my opinion and thats what is being solicited here right?
also, there is a group buy going on right now at avalon motorsports on je pistons and pauter rods.

all, i can say, is most programming from what i have seen on the forums are very similar #'s, it is just about how aggresive they are
get one for 100, get one for 500, get one for 1000, they all probably cost the same to r/d, and were all probably paid for 100,000 cars ago, so in reality they could sell all of them for 50 bucks or give them for free, but they don't, the reason some companies charge more is supply and demand, we demand it they supply it, but they say, "hey these guys want our product so bad, lets charge x amount"
on a side note, i just got a apr tunned ecu from a guy on the forums, called a local tune shop, ried vann who support apr and giac, asked him if i drove it and didn't like it he could do giac on my car right, and he told me that giac is not user/tuner shop friendly, they have outsourced alot of their stuff and that he would not recommend them like he would apr cause they are their for the "people"

Hey everyone,
I went on to ebay and asked a guy that bought one of the InMotion chips what he thought. This is his response:
"Hey... funny, been answering a lot of these lately. So far so good... I guess I've had it tuned for about a month now. InMotion USA is in the Portland, OR area, and so am I, so the guy came out to my house to flash my ECU. He seems very experienced in VAG vehicles and has been doing this work for a while. I think the tune they use is pretty much the same as the standard tune you can get from other places for around $400 - $500, but it isn't as aggressive as the higher octane tunes. I immediately felt the difference... way more torque down low, turbo spooled faster, and boost went up to a tick over 20 lbs on my Audi TT. So far so good... no problems."
I am 99.99999999% sure that the guy who does all these chips is very professional and knows what he is doing. He has been able to answer ALL of my questions and he doesn't try and beat around the bush to answer them. As soon as I can get the money I am getting one of these chips as well as the TipChip from them. (I am not doing the free chip becuase it will cost more for me to go dyno the car then the chip becuase the closest AWD dyno is in Seattle (about 5hrs away).)

I am pretty sure I have conviced myself to do the chip and the tip chip as well Josh, just need to get enough cash, plus I need to get a 710N before I do any of that. But I would probably say in the next month I will be getting chipped by them. I will be sure to post a review on how it goes.
