I knew my MAF was going before the tune... I've been getting a CEL and codes since I bought it, but it can be swapped.
Interesting that you brought that up. A MAF sensor throw codes when the elements get dirty and prohibit the heating and cooling action of the element but when a MAF sensor "fry's" and the element burns up the car won't run, (in Audi's and VW at least) it will start but shut right back off because it has no idea of the air mass (no limp mode just tow truck mode). I have searched but can not find anyone complaining of their upsolute chip causing the MAF to fry only complaints of CEL's.

Dallas4u, I am glad you are happy with the chip and I will also get one soon and I will post datalogging graphs at least if not dynos also.

what up, havent been on this post for a couple of days and it seems like you guys wrote a damn book since then, lol. I just wanted to mention that I had a 5 bar fuel pressure regulator with a giac chip and it was a great product... had no problems with it and was k04 compatible for any of you that are planning on doing theturbo swapfurther down the road.

lol that guy with the tt in portland isnt all that bright if he doesnt think there are AWD dynos there, I know of at least 1 and i think i know where a second is.. someone should let him know lol
I'm the guy he emailed through Ebay and the one quoted... the top paragraph of the quote is mine, the bottom part is his response in this forum... it is not a quote from me. Regardless, kinda stupid to call someone "bright" or not because they did or didn't know about a dyno in their town. Whatever...

I've posted before on this on-going thread just to give my view. People have been walking around the InMotion subject for a LONG time, and after doing my own research for a couple weeks, I decided to go ahead and do it. Besides, the Jason you guys have been talking to is actually in the Portland area (Clackamas), and instead of sending me the equipment to flash the ECU myself (my TT was flashable), he met me at my house and did it for me. The dude seems very knowledgeable and we talked half the time about the shop he owned, shops he's worked for, how much work he does on the tuning side, etc. I'm no Audi/VAG pro, but this guy seems to know an awful lot about what he's doing.

I'd say you're pretty lucky if you live in the Portland area... since he's here, you can get pretty damn good service pretty easily. I'm sure he'll do what it takes for those out of area, but I'm just really lucky I am where I am and he was more than willing to meet in person.

Other than that, I've had no issues with the TT that weren't there before the flash. I knew my MAF was going before the tune... I've been getting a CEL and codes since I bought it, but it can be swapped. Right after the tune Jason told me to take it for a spin. I left him in my driveway and didn't want to go too far, so I went a couple blocks around and came back... I immediately felt the difference (listed in the quote here already). My boost gauge shows the boost, it seems nice and smooth, and the torque is evident. I've only had it for a month or so, and so far so good... I don't really see any reason why anything would go bad because of the tune, so I'm happy. I don't plan on getting it dyno'd as it really isn't worth it to me since I'm just happy with the price to performance ratio I feel, so if someone else plans on tuning with them and dyno'ing... I hope they post the numbers!
