Default Installed awe-apillar and..

my idle is normal 17-19hg but i cant boost past 15psi!!!! WTF ..

im supposed to be at 18 and spiking to 21 with the "monster"file.

so would this be a boost leak somehwere? when we were installing it the "T" broke and i used a different one that i had. that wouldnt cause problems would it?

The one i used doesnt have the brass piece in it.

OH and theres a SWOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHH sound coming from my boost guage. is that normal?

ive never delt with boost guages before so im totaly new to this.

so any ideas as to why i cant Break 15PSI?

sounds like you installed the boost gauge wrong, dont know how the AWE ones go together but there is a crush fitting, and week nylon hose with most of the kits and if you kink the hose it leaks, might not be tight enough either.. did you use teflon take with all the brass fitting? its definatly a leak from the gauge, so reinstall it..

Your boost gauge should not be making any noise

Dang that sux your having problems man.

Hmm it could either be a leak at the connection of the T fitting or the connection behind the boost guage.

And i'm not sure if not using the nylon is a good thing.

yea you need to use the nylon, i did the same thing or tried to and i couldnt get a seal at the gauge with any type of vacum hose.. go buy a reinstall kit with new hose and a new crush fitting

I did use the nylon hose. it goes from the guage through the ecu nipple to the cloth vac line by the mani.

however it got pinched right around the footwell area and i had to replace the pinched part with a cloth vac hose

so it goes ====nylonhose=====[==Clothvac==]=====nylonhose==== i think thats where the air is leaking from.
