Default Installing a dead switch

Hey guys,

I was thinking of installing a button/switch in my car that has to be pushed or turned on when I turn the key in the ignition in order for the car to start. Has anyone else installed one? Is there a write-up out there for this? Can this result in any problems with my ignition core?

Thanks.

EDIT: I am not installing a "push start" button

Because my neighbours Benz SUV just got stolen. I live in the burbs, I would think this is a cheaper and quieter solution to installing a better alarm than the stock interior motion sensors we have.

oh,i see.thought you meant turn key then push button to start cuz my grandpa had that in his datsun 510 because of bad wrist..you could prob run a switch from starter pos. but not just battery pos. and it would have to be high amp
