Intake kit problems

That is the cone filter (57i) and it works fine for noise. It doesn't add much/if any HP, but the throttle seems smoother. You do need to build a quality heat shield too. Other than that....no problems with our cars.

if all else fails put the sotck air box back in and try that, if it works like normal, put the K&N filter back in, and go slow maybe u missed something or plugged in something wrong.
I do have the stock air box back in and it works like normal. I haven't had the time to try to hook up the K&N again. I also wanted to ask about it first instead of heading straight back in and missing the same thing again.

It is the 57i that I bought.
That also brings up another question. How necessary is it to build a better heat shield? Like the instructions said, I just used the stock one.
