I ve searche forums looking for a solution, to stopping the finish from flaking off of my B6 A4. Dont they make a paint that can be applied for this. Is it available in Germany? One would think that there is a product available to remedy this. Has anyone had any luck fixing the problem. Mine isnt so bad just yet, but it has started to peel up in a few small areas. I dont want to buy a new center console, to fix it,. Also., has anyone with the same model car had their armrest break off? Just broke mine, and Im not real happy about it. What do they cost? Thanks for everyones input.

 

Welcome to the club. I'm experiencing the same problem. However, the way that I'm taclking this is to repaint the buttons with black primer. If done right, it should be a match to the stock appearance of other buttons. Only hard part is to mask off the parts of the buttons that illuminate.

 

i dont know what they cost but my friend just had his dog chew threw his armrest, ebrake and shifter ****...lol so he is looking for some new parts.. as for the paint my switch for the sunroof is all messed up, i was thinking of was to paint it myself..

 

ya my sunroof switch is lookin a lil shady too...i'm just gonna wait til more than half of it has chipped away before i repaint it.
