Default interior questions

I decided to go against what i should do and i am probably going to do a series of semi-minor interior and exterior modifications before i do suspension or a chip.

so, i have a few questions regarding the mods i am considering.

1) i have a pre-face lift a4 that has the hard-plastic e-brake handle. is it a direct swap to put on the leather/pleather e-brake handles?

2) a) how hard is it to put in a instrument cluster with the digital LCD display into a car that does not have the LCD digital display?
b) if this were to be done, would the mileage be that of the instrument cluster or the original ones from the car?
c) would you be able to use the EFU unit with this?

Thanks!

You can't if you put in a newer style cluster the cluster would throw so many faults it will make your head spin, because your lacking the wiring and the systems that the newer models have and not to mention the car might not even start because the ecm won't recognize what cluster is in the vehicle.

I'm sorry to say you are wrong about this - it is possible. I'm not able to tell you how to do it or to what extent you would have to go to make it work but here is an eBay link to an auction of a beautiful 98.5 A4 that has an upgraded S4 Cluster(56 warning) EBAY LINK

So it is "possible" but......$$$$ can make anything work
