Default Ipod Integration ---- Not Ice Link

Hey people I found this product online that also does Ipod Integration. Its called Neo Ion.
It can be found at Mp3YourCar. It looks like it works similar to Ice Link, but wthout the Cradle. You can control the Ipod through the buttions on your stereo. It sells for 189.99 about 10.00 cheaper. Can anyone let me know if the have used this before? I'm thinking of getting it since I really do not care for the cradle with Ice Link, and I am trying to find a way to mount it in the Glove Box.

on that u can hit next and last but how do u browse thru ur songs. I have the alpine adaptor and i am very pleased with it. It charges it so i never have to worry if i have battery (just make sur ur alarm is turned off else it will drain the ipod's battery and then the systemk can't charge the battery fom zero batery life)

I actually have this unit for my car and am very happy with it. It makes a direct connection so the sound is clear and it also charges the iPod. You navigate using the controls on your radio and also steering wheel if you have them. I found out about them because a lot of members of vortex have the adapter and like it. Anyhow good luck and let us know how it works out.

So...are you able to control the Ipod's menu or just "next" & "last" track, using the head unit?

I've been looking into this http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pieaudpcpod.html - it plugs into the CD changer cable and allows full function of your ipod - menues, playlists from the head unit.

I'm getting tired of the FM modulator static from my iTrip when in certain areas. If I get it - it pretty much makes my CD changer obsolete.

Be aware that it takes a bit preparing for playlist... imagine if you want to change the playlist; you would need to re-synchronize the iPod... also the unit can only hold/display up to 6 playlists... not sure if it's worth the hazzle imo... if you are determined to get the playlist feature, i would actaully hold off buying until s/o actually figures out how to do it right...

as for me, i got the neoion but i'm not sure if i would recomend it others either... Blitzsafe - AUDI/MLINK1 V.1B with ipod remote control can do exactly what neoion can for whole a lot cheaper!! just .02
