Default It's gettin' hot in here

Hi all,

I have a 2002 beige A4 (black inside) and I'm looking to tint my windows. Suggestions on %?

'nother car, but same

Also, what do I need to know about brands? It seems there are a lot out there.

NJ state law says that I can't tint the front side windows. Has anyone gotten away with tinting those windows? Should I risk it?

Thanks

I got 20% all around (silver A4). NY says absolutely no tint but not really enforced, I'm in jersey all the time so I'm sure its the same way. If a cop pulls you over just let down all your windows so he doesn't notice it. Your supposed to do that regardless but not many ppl know that.

I wouldnt suggest getting too dark of a tint since you can't have any on your front windows. I also wouldnt suggest that you get dark on your back and lighter on the front...doesn't look good in my opinion. I'd say go with 35% all the way around.....not too dark but not too light

True, I can't see a difference either, but it's all the same price. Alright F it. I'm doing it all around, 35%. Feelin' crazy.

Only decision left is 3 year warranty for 189 or lifetime warranty for 239.

I'm thinking lifetime. Don't want to end up with screwed up windows my fourth year. not that big a price difference, but much higher than the 150 i read from other people on this forum.

wow thats pretty expensive where you're at .. i only paid $150 for lifetime warranty llumar tint, 20% all around on mines. id say, 20% is a good balance between too light and too dark. since i live in FL, if i had to do it over, i would get 15% all around ..

Yea dude at $239 your getting ripped off. Besides you don't need lifetime warranty, its not like your gonna be having the same car for ten years (I wouldn't).
