Its Turbo Time!!!!!
03 A4 1.8T. ok guys i need your advice. got an awe exhaust on the way, carbonio intake, and a baileys dv all coming next week. Now i already had the car chipped by APR and i know im gonna need a FMIC if i get a larger turbo so i set aside enough money for that and possibly a new clutch. So i need advice on the best turbos.....reliability and performance are what im looking for. all the ones ive looked at are the APR stage 3 and the eliminator possibly KO4 although i heard thats a huge waste of money. apr is really expensive and eliminator is right up there. so if anyone knows of other ones that im missing let me know. And im pretty sure im missing other mods i need to do before turbo so sorry if the newbie missed em but if you guys can help id appreciate it.
I'm looking at doing a t3s60 or a t3t4 50trim as well, just waiting until I sell my old car before I do anything about it (anyone wantto buy anMR2 SC?). Let me know what you decide to do and where you get everything, as I'll be going throught it soon. My mechanic recommend that APR turbo, but I figure for 6 grand I could switch to an 00/01 S4 and just chip it, so that's why I'm looking at the other turbos.
I'm stilljust a little worried about reliability, I don't want to spend that much and have problems for years after...

You can get all the parts from atp and with proper injectors and tuning, it will be very reliable. You can then swap the $400 for a atp clone on ebay (still very good) for about $150 shipped and that would cut another $250 of the total. Buying everything from atp (but injectors and chip but that price included) would put your right at the $3k mark for everything. With some other minor changes, you can get the total cost down to about $2500.
