Hey guys. glad I am finally an AUDI owner.....now lets get to modding. I have a beautiful pearl white '97 A4 1.8T. I need to know first mods, and where to get them. I am sure that a chip would be my most helpful 1st. mod. what else do we have? what are the capabilities of this engine? What do I have to do to get 350hp out of this car?? Any other tips or mod suggestions are welcome. thanx

 

to get 350 out of your car is going to be the hardest most expensive project you will ever encounter. probably the easiest way would be to go my way and swap yourturbo to a T3. it's very expensive and a lot of work. but if you go the traditional route with your car start with a K&N oem filter, then exhaust, then a chip.

 

well, I don't know if I want to do all that just yet. but with good exaust, intake, and a good chip, what kind of power / times am I lookin at? Where is the best spot to buy these upgrades?

 

maybe 175 at the wheels or maybe 185 if you get parts the match. for example neuspeed makes a chip and exhaust. i have no clue where the best place to get these are. check out "performance sites" by Doose
