Just bought a b5 A4, Could use some quick advice!
I just bought a 1999 a4, with 45,000 miles on it. What basic maintenence should I be performing on it around this mileage?
I'm about to go pick up a bottle of fuel injector cleaner (Anyone have any reccomendations? I was just gonna grab some seafoam...)
Should i replace the fuel filter?
I also ordered a new K&N air filter, new Diverter valve, and snub engine mount already as well.

Be aware that you will need your Tbelt done around 60-80k
Go easy on car.... dont drive to aggreessive for a while. Feel it out... because their might be problems you are unaware of.

holy low mileage!! Shouldnt need anything other than the routine stuff. You might be smart though to consider doing the timing belt now with the updated timing belt tensioner, as it is a revised part. The 97-99's have had early timing belt failure due to the shitty design of the tensioner as early as 50- 60k miles. If I were you Id do it now, and when you get to 100-110k miles do it again with the water pump. Make sure you use the larger oem oil filter with your oil changes and use fully synthetic oil as well. The tensioner thats in there right now may last another 30k miles, but I wouldnt feel comfortable putting $3500 worth of engine rebuild money on the term "may".
Get a Haynes manual for 15 dollars from PEP boys or a similar store.
Ever if it is low mileage, I'd swap out all the fluids and lubricants (transmission, power steering (with Pentosin), brake fluid, differentails, coolant (G12 and distilled water), change air filter, plugs, check for codes).
Fuet fitler should be good to 100K miles plus. I changed mine at 140K miles.

And what kind of plugs would you suggest for the car? I'm going to be chipping it soon
