Just bought tools + equip. Looking Forward =)
Just went to the autozone + autobarn. Bought a Hanleys audi a4 repair/maintenance manual. Got some socket wrenches, oil filter tool, oil pans, wheel ramps, torque wrench and spark plug gapper. Looking forward to learning some things and fixing stuff myself. Only thing Ive done on my car was , chang the spark plugs/gapped them. Did an oil change and put an aftermarket evoms Diverter valve. im excited now =)))))
PS: I got some directions on replacing a turbo in the booklet and some info from the forums, From the minimal experience I have from above , does anyone recommend me doing the turbo replacement or should I bring it to someone. I dont care if it takes days but I really want to do it , I am so willing to learn how to do things like that , I might as well start somewhere right.....

really isnt too hard to do man, if you have good instructions its cake, but be sure to get oil to the turbo by pulling the coil pack wires or one of those wires to disable spark and crank the car over and get oil pressure to the turbo so its good and lubed before you start the car
i installed my k04 myself and it was quite simple. Just give your car some downtime and start early in the morning as you may need to go grap a few parts and the stores will be open. I made the mistake of starting at 10 and ended up forgeting a few parts and had to wait till morning to get them. Just take your time and make sure everything is hooked up properly, especially the oil return lines.
