Can't believe it, been in my 07 A4 lease for 5k miles now, and I just today looked down and noticed the "S" located just past the "D." It happened as I arrived at work and parked in the garage. I quickly consulted my owner's manual and confirmed my multi-tronic transmission has a Sport mode. I've been driving it and loving it for the rest of today. Basically changes the shift points so the car is more responsive. I have had chipped 1.8t engines in the past (VW and Audi both), and the S mode is at least as big a difference as that.

I have been told that the older a4's with the trip tronic also have a sport mode but you have to use a vag com to enable it. Anyone here about that? I have the instructions in my e-mail and will post them later if you want.

P.S. I have not tried it yet as I do not have a vag-com.
