Just got my car back!!!!
Well I just picked my car up from the shop today and man do I love it. I had a T3/T4 turbo with a custom down pipe no cat and custom exhaust manifold installed. To controller the boost I used a manual boost controller and for the fuel I used an AFC (air fuel controller). I have 550cc fuel injectors. A Greddy FMIC. And a boost gauge.
Yes i needed a new exhaust manifold to bolt the larger turbo up. i only have about 250whp and 260ish torque tell i get my new clutch in. that is at 7psi of boost once the clutch goes in i will turn it up to 23-24psi. I will have pictures up asap when i get home. also a video of the dyno.
I am planing to do same thing Jeff. so I dont want to trow my money away until then.. I am planing to get APC State I ECU upgrade. Do you have ECU upgrade but I dont know ECU upgrade will work with upgraded turbos or can u give me some little info... Thanks a lot.
I do not have a new ecu. im using a ApexI AFC Select to controle the air/fuel. and a boost controller. the only problem that i have incountered with no chip is you need a dioid (spelled wrong) to fool the mass air flow sensor other wise you will not beable to run full boost. something cool about my car im using a 38mm waist gate that vents to the atmosphere and it sounds soo cool but very loud. i would also recomend that you up grade your intake system this is difficult because no one makes one for it. u have to custom bend the pipes if you use metal but it looks really cool. it cost me about 4500 for all the piping and installation plus 2 hrs of dyno time
